Dustin Pedroia- Basketball Player- Never
Dustin Pedoria is five foot nine inches . . . according to MLB.com some say Pedoria is 5’5 and others say he is 5’11. Being 5’9 or what ever doesn’t make you qualified to be a basketball player. To play basketball you need to be at least six feet. Also why mess with perfection. Pedoria has won a golden glove, a silver slugger, a rookie of the year, and a MVP in just two full major league seasons.
Daisuke Matsuzaka- Ambassador form Japan to the U.S.A.- Maybe
Dice-K was born in Tokyo, Japan and all of the United States of America and Japan know who he is. Some love him, the city of Boston. Then some hate him, the Bronx. Ryozo Kato is currently the ambassador. One thing Dice-K will have to do though to become the ambassador is to learn English. Dice-k is getting there but still needs some work.
Milton Bradley- Anger Management Teacher- Never
Bradley who just signed with the Chicago Cubs has thrown a bottle into the stands, argued with umps tons of times, yelled at fans and players, and thrown bags full of baseballs. One time while he was with the San Diego Padres he cost them a playoff spot because he argued with an ump and got hurt. He needs anger management classes before he can be a teacher.

He gets paid a ton of money but he can’t afford the Red Sox (haha) and he will never touch the Red Sox. So he will by the really bad team in New York City (I have problems putting the Y- word in my blogs).

Jason Giambi
First- The Dodgers and Brewers offered Trevor Hoffman a deal.
Second- The Giants and Dodgers could back off Manny. So then where would Manny go? I have no clue.
Jason Giambi the big ‘roid user signed with the Oakland A’s today. He inked a one year, $4 million deal, while the A’s have a $6.5 million dollar option for 2010, with a $1.25 million dollar buyout. He can earn up to $500,000 each year in bonuses and $250,000 for 525 and 550 plate appearances. Giambi won the MVP in 2000 while playing for the A’s. Giambi could play first or D.H. If he played first then Daric Barton would be benched. If he played D.H. then Jack Cust, who led the A’s in RBI’s and homers last year, would either be moved to left or sit on the bench. Cust also had 197 strike outs last season. Cust will probably move to left then Travis Buck would be benched. There is the option of trading Cust. Giambi hit 32 home runs, 96 RBI’s, stole two bases,and had a .247 batting average last season for the New York Yankees. Giambi lost a lot of money. Last season he got paid $23,428,571. Giambi has one issue, unlike say Milton Bradley, his lucky, golden, thong. Don’t want to go into detail about that.

First- Mike Scioscia got a contract extension to stay as Angels manager till 2018.
Second- Teixeira got introduced as a Yankee today.
Third- Carl Pavano signed with the Indians today.
Forth- Trevor Hoffman could become a Brewer or Dodger. I think he will be a Brewer.
Fifth- Jason Marquis got traded from the Cubs to Rockies for Luis Vizcaino.
Sixth- Jason Giambi is going back to Oakland, unless he fails his physical. Look out for that on the seventh, unless something huge happens.
Seventh- Wow, a lot of news today, J.C. Romero got suspended 50 games for failing a drug test.
Milton Bradley, a switch hitter, signed with the Chicago Cubs yesterday pending a physical on a three year $30 million dollar contract. Bradley hit 22 home runs while having a .321 batting average. He started at D.H. in the all-star game after Big Papi, David Ortiz was voted as the starter but was hurt. It was the first time Bradley had gone to the all-star game. The Cubs could move outfielder Alfonso Soriano to center, then put Bradley in left, and have Reed Johnson as the forth outfielder. I thought Bradley would go to the Seattle Mariners, back around Thanksgiving. Bradley has played nine major league teams the Expos, Indians, Dodgers, A’s, Padres, and Rangers before signing with the Cubs. He has been traded twice in mid-season. One issue was could he play outfield for a 162 games + maybe the playoffs? I don’t think he can, so Reed Johnson may get to play a little extra. He only played 20 games in the outfield last seasons. Bradley has a reputation of sometimes being a jerk, idiot, and hot head, depending on the way you look at it.
Pat The Bat
First- Since there is news to blog about look for Red Sox, Yankees, Rays to continue when there is no news to blog about or during spring training.
Second- Milton Bradley signed with the Cubs pending a physical on a three year $30 million dollar deal. Look for more on that tomorrow.

Forth- Twins owner Carl Pohald died today.
WOW! Is the hot stove heating up two all-star players are close to signing while one signed today. Pat Burrell signed with the Tampa Bay Rays today on a two year $16 million dollar contract. Pat the Bat won the World Series with the Phillies beating the team he signed with today the Tampa Bay Rays. Burrell is 32 and the right handed slugger the Rays have needed forever. Burrell is a veteran who can help the Rays this year. Burrell will probably be the DH with the A’s. Burrell walks a lot while he hit 33 home runs, had a .250 batting average and drove in 86 RBI’s. The move by the Rays kind of keeps them up with the Yankees who signed C.C. Sabathia, A.J. Burnett, and Mark Teixeira along with former Red Sox Kevin Cash. Burrell will help the Rays who know have to play with people watching them. Even with the signing Tampa Bay will not compete, because Longoria and others will have to make changes, which will give the Rays a not so good first month, half, or who knows it could take a week for Longoria to make his changes. Now that the Hot Stove is heating up maybe Varitex will sign with Boston soon.
Has Billy Beane Lost It???!!!
This just in Billy Beane has gone crazy. He isn’t sticking to his Moneyball plan. Beane now wants a guy who juices. Beane last season dished out Dan Haren, Joe Blanton, and Rich Harden to the D-Backs, Phillies, and Cubs respectively. Beane has been know to give stars away for top notch prospects but this off season seams different. For some reason Beane has money. probably do to the economic downfall, in the U.S., and worldwide. This is the best time for small market clubs till MLB gets a salary cap, but where did the Yankees get a quarter of a billion dollars? The A’s traded for Matt Holiday and wanted Furcal, who signed with the Dodgers. The A’s are trying to get a big time offense to save their young pitchers. I just don’t get it. Why would you want to have a juicing, thong wearing, fat slugger. They now want the Big Unit which he will fit in fine with the young pitchers and “mentor” them. The A’s would have no where to put Giambi. Jack Cust is at D.H., while Dan Barton is at first . . . well okay put him at first. The A’s could contend if they got the Big Unit, Giambi, and one other bat on the bench. I told you Billy Beane has lost it.
